PERSONAL TESTIMONIALS
"I have known Erika approximately ten (10) years, first as a teammate with GSTC, and there after as a PT with RWJ/New Brunswick, and more recently as my Personal Running Coach for the past year. I have found Erika professional, dependable, reliable, and flexible. She is an excellent communicator, listener, and source of support and accountability. I have found her to maintain a calm and patient demeanor during stressful times and would give thoughtful and meaningful solutions to any challenges. Erika is personable and quite pleasant. She is quite knowledgeable and takes a strategic approach in helping me achieve my health, fitness and running goals. As a result of her experience and expertise, I have achieved my goals and continue to pursue new targets. Of all the wonderful qualities I can describe that I find in Erika, the most compelling is her integrity and high ethics for which I have tremendous respect and appreciation as such people are hard to find! She certainly is an inspiration to me, and motivates me to be better every day, while helping me to balance the challenges of a demanding work-life schedule."

"I considered coaching because I was aiming to take my running more seriously, but did not have the technical know-how and planning skills to know what that functionally translates to on an everyday basis. Erika helped me by creating a training plan that matched my goals (PR in a half marathon by more than 5 minutes by the 2nd training cycle).
Erika was incredibly responsive, checking up on my progress each week, and patient/solicitous of questions on the training plan. My biggest learning experiences from working with Erika are to not be afraid to ask questions and to trust your body when it is telling you to ramp down, even if it conflicts with the training plan. I feel like I have a better understanding of how to build a running base, and how to incorporate workouts into my weekly running schedule. With Erika's training, I PR'd the Philadelphia Half-Marathon by 7 minutes from one year to the next! I would highly recommend Erika to runners who are looking for a coach and interested in a training plan that can be as iterative as needed with the runner, with strength training and cross training interwoven to build the runner to a strong position towards race day."

"Erika has been my running coach for about a year now, and I can honestly say it is the best decision I have made for my running! I’ve had other running coaches before, but none have put in the effort that Erika has. Her plans for me were detailed, updated monthly to suit my current needs, and focused on every aspect of my training. Erika took the time to follow up with me throughout the training process, and made me appreciate my progress even when I was feeling down on myself.
Her training plan was customized to me, and she made sure to explain anything I did not understand. Running is something I only picked up about 3 years ago, and it has been difficult to know what certain running terms meant…until Erika. She took into account that I was new to running, and explained each of the terms I may not know. Above all, Erika was great about telling me to rest if I wasn’t feeling 100%, and she always knew exactly what stretches/workouts I needed when I was starting to feel the fatigue of higher mileage towards the end of my marathon training. Erika understood that there are ups and downs to training, and she always made sure my health came first. Her training plans were always designed to prevent injury; assigning strength workouts to accompany my running- insuring that I would not succumb to an overuse injury as many
runners do. At the end of my marathon training plan, I was injury free, had run my highest training mileage ever (even having completed to prior marathons), my speed had increased, and I was the most confident I’ve ever been going into race day! Through the help of Erika, I managed to pull off a PR in the marathon by about 16 minutes on a course that was more difficult and on a day when the weather was any runner’s enemy. I look forward to my future running success under the guidance of Erika!" Megan from North Brunswick, NJ
"I have worked with Erika for over 3 years and have not even thought of looking for another trainer. She truly cares about the client and makes sure that the exercises are challenging, but at the same time safe depending on body mood. Over the years, due to work/races ,I have had many injuries and Erika has been able to adapt the workouts in a way that they are challenging but at the same time not strenuous to the injury. She is able to provide training in diverse number of activities; weights, body workouts, TRX, bands, Bosu ball and running. She has extensive knowledge of the exercises and is always looking for new exercises that are great calorie-burners. I truly love working with Erika, our sessions are definitely the best and definitely made a change in my life."

"I've been working with Erika for the past year. As my personal trainer, she has helped me become stronger, improve my exercise knowledge, and keep my fitness routine varied and fresh. After I had a back injury, she especially helped me by focusing on strength work to help me recover so I could get back to my favorite fitness activities, like running and dancing, and she knew when to push me and when to modify a movement. I feel especially lucky to have been given the opportunity to work with Erika, as she is more than just a trainer or instructor, she is a friend and a life coach. I highly recommend her as a personal trainer. Thank you, Erika, for all the fantastic workouts and those to come!"

"I have been training with Erika for over three years, during which I've played various sports, undergone knee surgery, and transitioned from being a student to being a member of the workforce and back again. Throughout, Erika has been supportive, flexible with scheduling, and has tailored my workout programs to fit my needs and goals. She is patient, perceptive and excellent at communicating with her clients. Never afraid to demonstrate and explain exercises, and always knowing when to tell someone to ease up or encourage them to push harder, she makes for a highly effective trainer who is a pleasure to work with."
